What this Reddit story generator does
Reddit story videos — a narrator reading an AITA or revenge post over illustrated scenes or gameplay — are one of the most common faceless formats on TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Editing them is no longer the hard part. Finding a story that is original, short enough to narrate in a minute or two, and not lifted from someone else's post is. This Reddit story generator writes a fresh, fictional story in the voice of the big story subreddits, sized for a short video and written for the ear rather than the page.
Each story is new. Nothing is copied from Reddit and no real usernames appear. You can steer it with your own premise — a roommate, a wedding, a group project, a neighbor who keeps taking your parking spot — or leave the box empty and let it pick a situation.
Pick the right story type
- AITA (Am I the Asshole): a moral question with two defensible sides. Best when you want comments — viewers argue about the verdict.
- TIFU (Today I F'd Up): a small mistake that snowballs. Good for something funny and self-deprecating.
- Pro Revenge: a wronged narrator plans a clever, legal payback. Strong endings that suit two-minute videos.
- Malicious Compliance: someone insists on a pointless rule and the narrator follows it to the letter. Short, satisfying and easy to rewatch.
- Entitled People: an outrageous demand meets a calm narrator. Easy to follow even with the sound off when captions are on.
- Relationship Drama: a partner or friend reveals something and the story ends on a dilemma. Natural "what would you do?" hook.
From story to video in three steps
- Generate a story you like and read it out loud once. If it drags, generate another or switch to Short.
- Press "Turn this into a video". The story goes into the video creator with a comic art style, a natural narrator voice and word-by-word captions already picked; you can change any of them.
- We split the story into scenes, illustrate each one in 9:16, record the narration, sync the captions and add music. Your first video is free; paid plans make 1–5 minute videos without a watermark.

What makes a Reddit story hold attention
- Put the conflict in the first sentence. "My brother asked for my wedding fund" beats three lines of background.
- One narrator, one decision. Side plots are hard to follow in under two minutes.
- Concrete numbers and quotes make it feel real: $6,000, two days, what Mom actually said.
- End on the question or the payoff, and don't explain it afterwards.
- Make it yours before posting — change details, add your own reaction. Platforms push back on obvious read-outs of copied posts; an original story in your own words avoids that.
